EFF report on RIAA lawsuits

The most comprehensive report ever created on the history of the RIAA lawsuits and their effect on the P2P sharing was released by the EFF (http://www.eff.org/) yesterday. You can read the report entitled "RIAA v. The People: Four Years Later" here:

http://www.eff.org/IP/P2P/riaa_at_four.pdf

The section on "Is it working?" is one of the most interesting. There is a comparison between standard survey question and answer data and empirical data collected by UC San Diego that actually monitored P2P activity. The empirical data is more reliable because it is not biased by survey participants who are scared to admit P2P activities. The data shows a clear increase in P2P usage even in the U.S. where the RIAA has been working for over 4 years to sue customers.
